My Aspirations this side of Heaven:

  1. Travel to Greece with Jake … and Meg and Bryce (trip number 2?)

  2. Girls trip to New York

  3. Take a private airplane ride somewhere

  4. Parasail

  5. Speak to over 1,000 people at one time

  6. Take my children out of the country on vacation at least twice by the time they graduate high school

  7. Create yearly traditions for my family (summer camping trip etc)

  8. Publish a book

  9. Surprise Jake with a trip of a life time

  10. Live in a different country

  11. Get another tattoo – I already know what it would be!

  12. Be able to pay at least half of my children’s education

  13. Travel to Israel/Ephesus etc.

  14. Have a meaningful talk about God with someone very famous

  15. Witness a modern-day miracle

  16. Paint a canvas using various medias and have it turn out REALLY cool (and Jake like it)

  17. Teach my kids that ‘stuff’ doesn’t matter (and for them to really ‘get it’ at a young age)

  18. Live below our means throughout our life

  19. Know scripture

  20. Visit Rwanda again and see the changes

  21. Have real relationships with my nieces and nephews

  22. Skydive (no joke! I’d love this) Candy’s 25th birthday, right!?!?

  23. Save someone’s life with my organs (this, of course, would be the last on my list!)

  24. Be on the red carpet somewhere in a fancy dress

  25. Watch my parents grow old happy and healthy as ever

  26. Visit a leper colony

  27. Ride an elephant or camel

  28. Fill my home with pictures I’ve take from all over the world

  29. Speak Spanish fluently

  30. Stay in a cabin in the Alps with Jake

  31. Win free shoes

  32. FULLY own a house (no mortgage!)

  33. Speak at a George Fox chapel

I found it really difficult to make this list. Some of these things I may NEVER check off. For an obsessively productive person, it made me uncomfortable. So I must accept that things I don’t accomplish aren’t failures. Of course, this list isn’t set in stone either.

What’s on your list?
